Specializing in Sexual Trauma, Relationships,
Gender and Sexual Identity, OCD, & Anxiety

In addition to these specialty areas, I provide therapy to individuals navigating career and life transitions as well as treatment for mental health concerns, including depression, ADHD, and PTSD.

SEXUAL TRAUMA

I have been working with victims/survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence for over 10 years. My approach is based on Judith Herman’s trauma recovery model. I focus on establishing safety through boundary setting and strengthening coping skills. When clients are ready, we move forward together to process traumatic events, make meaning of experiences, and reconnect with healthy supports.

RELATIONSHIPS

Whether you’re navigating difficulties with friends, family, co-workers, or romantic partners, I can help you understand what you need in your relationships, how to communicate more effectively, and feel more secure and confident in yourself and with others. I am experienced and affirming of ethical non-monogamy, polyamory, LGBTQ+, and kink.

GENDER AND SEXUAL IDENTITY

As a queer therapist, I understand the experience of feeling misunderstood by others, including care providers. I believe that therapy should be different! I strive to create an affirming space for clients to explore their identities, navigate challenges, and celebrate their true selves.

OCD

Whether you have been previously diagnosed with OCD or struggle with obsessive compulsive tendencies, I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to manage the intrusive thoughts and problematic behaviors and reduce distress in your daily life. I have experience working with individuals with pure O, sexuality, religious, and contamination-based OCD.

ANXIETY

Situational stress, worry, and mild panic are common experiences, but when they become overwhelming and interfere with your everyday life, it’s okay to seek help! I work with many individuals struggling with generalized anxiety, social anxiety, and panic attacks. My approach typically includes the exploration of contributing factors to anxiety and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand their bodies’ responses to stressful situations and learn skills to manage the thoughts and feelings that arise.
